Mashed with 7 gal water sparged with another 3 gallons. Hit pre boil volume of 7.5 gallons boiled off to 6.5. Proteins coagulated very well left most of it in the kettle. Pitched yeast at 67F OG 1.048 11/12/2014 5:49:55 PM : 62% efficiency, Racked into secondary beer tasted smooth mellow tiny spice flavor will add more into secondary. Yeast had black spots growing in it but no off flavors. 11/23/2014 12:25:08 PM : Added mulling spices on 12/6 left for 2 days much better spice flavor but not overpowering12/8/2014 10:12:02 PM : Added 4.3 oz table sugar priming botled in silver caps. FG 1.012 12/9/2014 12:05:56 AM : If I do another one I want to add the spices in at like 20 minutes and not have to add spices in secondary.
